Candidates can carry forward an AS result achieved at a centre in one administrative zone to complete their A Level at a centre in a different zone, subject to the usual carry forward rules - the two series must be within a 13 month period and the syllabus must include the relevant carry forward options.
When making entries for candidates in this scenario, you would select the option code that carries forward the relevant previous series' AS result. The second digit of each AS component number may not match those you see in the Guide to Making Entries because the candidate sat different variants of those components at their original centre.
Although candidates may complete different variants of the syllabus' components in different zones, we have a process to ensure the differences in each zone’s variant are accounted for when carrying forward to a different zone.
It is important in this situation that the student's previous candidate number and centre number are included when making their entries, as this will ensure we are able to locate their AS result from their previous centre.
