How is IGCSE Economics 0455/0987 assessed?

For the 2026 series, the syllabus will be assessed through two examination papers:

• Paper 1 (Multiple Choice), 30 marks
• Paper 2 (Structured Questions), 90 marks

Both papers are externally assessed, with durations of 45 minutes and 2 hours and 15 minutes respectively.

From 2027, the syllabus will be assessed through two examination papers:

• Paper 1 (Multiple Choice), 40 marks
• Paper 2 (Structured Questions), 80 marks

Both papers are externally assessed, with durations of 1 hour and 2 hours respectively.
