When filming activities, how long should the video length be?

For videos, a length of approximately 10–15 minutes is given as a guide. This can vary depending on candidate numbers, the  ability of candidates and on the type of activity you are filming. Two or three candidates may be filmed at the same time performing the same skills, appropriate to their skill level, to reduce filming length if needed.

All activities should be filmed in a way that allows moderators to see the appropriate aspects of performance. The filmed evidence should only include relevant material, and what is most important is that the evidence supports the marks awarded against the criteria from the Coursework Guidelines Booklet.

It is important to consider that the filming length also depends on relative candidate abilities – that is, candidates on comparative levels can be well evidenced in the same match, while candidates who are at different levels of performance may not be well evidenced together.
