Set texts regularly rotate on the 8695 syllabus and may change from one year of examination to the next. Before you begin teaching, check the set text list for the year in which your candidates will take their examinations.
The exam paper has three sections (Drama, Poetry and Prose). Learners will study two texts in preparation for the Literature component, each from a different section.
Set texts for the assessment year you will enter your students can be found in Section 3 of the syllabus. The texts you select should be appropriate for the learners’ age, cultural background and learning context as well as complying with your school policies and local legal requirements.
