In all Paper 2 Writing, Section A responses, candidates are assessed on the appropriacy of the tone and register of their response for audience and purpose, as specified in the Section A Writing descriptors (W4) in the mark scheme.
Features included in the candidate response which adhere to the relevant response format would be credited here. Cambridge does not issue a definitive list of required features for each format. We are not prescriptive on this; our focus is on the impact of the response on the audience and the effectiveness of the response in achieving its communicative purpose.
Report tasks could take a number of different forms and address a number of different audiences.
Specimen papers and mark schemes can be found on the School Support Hub.
