Are my candidates at a disadvantage if they don’t take the Speaking and Listening component?

The Speaking and Listening component is optional, and is separately endorsed on a scale of 1 (High) to 5 (Low). The ‘main’ grade is not affected in any way by the result of the Speaking and Listening component. Candidates can miss this component and still receive an overall syllabus grade, just without the separate speaking result alongside it.
