What are the recommended number of teaching hours for IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (9-1)? And should this time be split equally between the 3 sciences?

The number of teaching hours is stated under the 'Guided learning hours' section within the Co-ordinated Sciences (9-1) 0973 syllabus.

Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses are designed on the assumption that students have approximately 130 guided learning hours per subject over the duration of the course (normally two years). As this is a double award course, the guided hours are about 260 hours. Guided learning hours include direct teaching and any other supervised or directed study time. They do not include private study by the candidate.

The number of hours per science subject may vary according to local curricular practice and the student’s prior experience of the subject.
