Can native Mandarin speakers take the IGCSE Mandarin Chinese Foreign Language (0547) syllabus?

The best guidance for centres when choosing which Chinese syllabus to take is to check the syllabus. 0547 (IGCSE Mandarin Chinese) - is designed for those candidates for whom Mandarin Chinese is a foreign language and it mainly tests competence to A2 (CEFR Basic User Level). There are alternative syllabuses that may be more suitable- either 0523 (IGCSE Chinese as a Second Language) or 0509 (IGCSE Chinese as a First Language).
