The AS Level Sport & Physical Education (8386) syllabus has replaced the Cambridge International AS & A Level Physical Education (9396). The final examination for 9396 at both AS and A Level was November 2023 series. The first examination for the 8386 syllabus is in the June 2024 series.
We have updated this syllabus to make it clearer and more accessible for both teachers and learners and to make sure that it reflects current educational thinking. The updated syllabus is an AS-only syllabus with increased coursework weighting.

For AS Level Sport & Physical Education (8386), the School Support Hub contains the syllabus, specimen paper and the scheme of work. Past papers and the reports from principal examiners for this syllabus will be available of the School Support Hub after the June 2024 results have been released.
