Do teachers have to complete all Speaking tests in the same day?

You may conduct the English as a Second Language Paper 3 Speaking test over more than one day on the understanding that:

  • all tests are carried out within the test window specified in the timetable for that exam series.
  • tests are conducted in as short a period as possible, on consecutive days ideally.
  • candidates must not discuss the content of assessment cards used in their test with others yet to complete the test.
  • you should use a separate set of assessment cards for any candidate(s) taking the test later than the main cohort (where possible based on the number of assessment cards received)
  • each candidate's test must only be conducted once and not be repeated.
  • you must follow the guidance in section 3.4.9 of the Cambridge Handbook when making and returning recordings to us.
