Component 3 (Theatre Making & Performing) - : Could you please provide some guidance on appropriate theme selection for the monologue performance?

The theme should be something that is pertinent to the candidate’s interests and on a topic that they feel they can perform interestingly and effectively. Each text should be relevant to the theme and the link should identify its relevance.

There are no restrictions on content other than that texts for Component 1 are specifically excluded in the syllabus.

We want to encourage independent learning, and part of the process for this unit is the creative choice of theme.
