Candidates can use any text that has words and that has been professionally published or broadcasted.
The programme of the individual performance should consist of a compilation of three or more extracts from texts drawn from any theatrical tradition or genre, as stated in the syllabus, on page 35. There is also an example, on page 19. The programme may also include texts selected from poetry, prose fiction, non-fiction, news reportage or verbatim material. There are no forbidden texts for 03 except those set texts listed for component 01. But again, a text is anything with words that is publicly published or broadcasted. It can be a spoken text, a TV or radio news report, and so on. Please bear in mind that self-published texts online don't count as published.
The candidate can use part of the script from a film or television show in their performance; this is considered as broadcasted material or a published screenplay. However, the candidate should create an individual rendering of the text, not an imitation of how it was acted.
