The guideline states that each candidate should have approximately five minutes’ exposure in the performance with a minimum running time of 10 minutes and a maximum of 25 minutes. The length of the extract will depend on the number of performers which range from 2 to 5. The piece does not need to be extended to five minutes per candidate cumulatively if they are performing together. What matters is that each candidate is clearly featured for around five minutes and has sufficient opportunity to demonstrate their performance skills individually, and their contribution is assessable against the criteria.
Devised
Candidates work in a group of between two and five students to devise and present a piece of between 10 and 15 minutes performance time.
