If a candidate is unavailable at the time you have scheduled your cohort's speaking tests for medical reasons, or other reasons outside their control, you may conduct their speaking test later on the understanding that:
· all tests are carried out within the test window specified in the timetable for that exam series.
· returning candidates are recorded and assessed under the same conditions.
· candidates must not discuss the content of role play cards and topics used in their test with others yet to complete the test.
· tests are conducted in as short a period as possible, on consecutive days ideally. This means that a candidate returning after illness should be tested in the next available slot.
· Continue the sequence as shown in the randomisation grid. For example, if you conducted 20 tests on the previous day, you should start the next day from row 21 of the table.
· each candidate's test must only be conducted once and not be repeated.
· you must follow the guidance in section 3.4 of the Cambridge Handbook when making and returning recordings to us.
