We don’t supply teaching resources or sample questions for each of set texts on the 9695 syllabus. We select exemplars only to illustrate the breadth and depth required of candidate answers at different levels of ability as a general principle aligned to the Grade Descriptions, rather than as a set of answers according to the specific texts featured in each series.
We suggest that learners should examine past paper questions and extracts and have access to the level descriptor terms so that they can actively engage with these through their essay planning.
In addition, we recommend that centres consult the Principal Examiner's Report for Teachers available under the Examination Resources tab on the School Support Hub, as well as posting your query on the Community forum, where the forum moderator and other teachers will be able to suggest how they approach these texts and alternative ideas.
