What are Access Arrangements and how do I apply?

Access arrangements, including modified papers, are pre-exam arrangements that minimise access barriers for candidates with special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries/illnesses. Used appropriately, access arrangements and modified papers can enable candidates with specific needs to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding without changing the demands of the assessment.

To apply for access arrangements, please use the Apply for Access Arrangements service available via MyCambridge.

To order modified papers for candidates who cannot access the standard versions of the exam question papers and require modified language or modified print, please submit Modified papers: Preparation – Form 3.

Please check the key dates and activities site for deadlines relating to applying for access arrangements and modified papers.

Please note that all requests for access arrangements must be made by the school or centre where a student is taking their exams. Schools have a direct relationship with their students, and they are best placed to ensure that any requests are properly considered.
