As stated in the Cambridge IGCSE Literature in Spanish syllabus for examinations in 2025, 2026 and 2027:
The editions listed in the syllabus documents are the ones Cambridge International will use for the chapter, scene or page references in the question paper. Candidates can use any edition of a set text, provided it is not an abridged or simplified version. Furthermore, these texts must not contain any personal annotations, highlighting or underlining. One hour before the start of the exam, the head of department is permitted to open the question paper to check whether the references for the passage-based questions are correct for the edition used in the school.
