No but most students do include annotations as part of their submission; annotations can help the examiner to understand students’ intentions. Annotations are not explicitly assessed. Extensive and detailed annotations are not required. Where annotations are included, they should be written in English, and preferably typed. If annotation has been handwritten, a typed transcript should be included as part of the submission.
Work should be clearly labelled to indicate what work is the candidate’s own and, where the work of others has been included, which is the work of others.
It is also important to state what processes or media have been used to create the work.
