Will my students receive the ‘Notes for use in qualitative analysis’ in their exam papers?

‘Notes for use in qualitative analysis’ are provided in the practical paper and the alternative to practical paper. This will allow students to concentrate on demonstrating their practical skills and not information recall.  However, candidates should be able to describe the tests for the identification of ions and gases as detailed in section 12.5 of the syllabus.  This can be assessed on the theory paper and the multiple-choice paper in which the ‘notes for use in qualitative analysis’ are not provided.
