Are past papers still relevant for the new syllabus?

There are some similarities between some questions in the past papers. Candidates will still benefit from practising questions from the past papers, particularly the longer essay style questions. The demands of the longer essay questions are now explicit with instructions for candidates under each question - if past papers are used, it would be beneficial to add the requirements for each question and to use the tables in the specimen mark schemes for marking them.
