Can native Spanish speakers be entered for this exam?

The 0530/7160 syllabus is designed for students studying Spanish as a foreign language. There is another Spanish syllabus more suitable for students whose first language is Spanish which is Syllabus 0502. Centres can decide which syllabus their candidates enter for but the 0530/7160 syllabus qualification will only demonstrate competency in the Spanish language up to level A2 (Basic User) with some elements of level B1 (Independent User) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
