Can native French speakers be entered for this exam?

The 0520/7156 syllabus is designed for students studying French as a foreign language. There is another French syllabus more suitable for students whose first language is French which is Syllabus 0501. Centres can decide which syllabus their candidates enter for but the 0520/7156 syllabus qualification will only demonstrate competency in the French language up to level A2 (Basic User) with some elements of level B1 (Independent User) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
