Is fieldwork required for the coursework option?

Candidates are required to complete fieldwork if they are following the coursework option. If they are following the alternative to coursework option (Paper 4 examination) then they are still advised to conduct or experience fieldwork. Generally speaking, candidates who have experience of different types of fieldwork do better on the examination than if they have never experienced or practiced different fieldwork skills.
