How many hours contact time do you recommend for A level?

The number of teaching hours is stated under the 'Guided learning hours' section within the AS & A Level Law 9084 syllabus.

Cambridge AS & A Level syllabuses are designed on the assumption that students have approximately 180 guided learning hours for AS Level and about 360 guided hours for A Level (approximately 5 hours per week of teaching time over a two-year A Level course). Guided learning hours include direct teaching and any other supervised or directed study time. They do not include private study by the candidate.

The number of hours a learner needs to achieve the qualification may vary according to local curricular practice and the student’s prior experience of the subject.
