Candidates must submit two performances with a total combined duration of 4-10 minutes. One must be a solo performance and the other an ensemble performance.
Each performance must be at least 2 minutes long. If a candidates chosen piece is shorter than 2 minutes, they may perform a second short piece on the same instrument or voice to meet the minimum duration. The two short performances do not need to be recorded in the same recording; they could be recorded separately.
Moderators need to see that candidates can perform competently over a sustained period, so ensuring that they meet the minimum duration helps them access the full range of available marks.
