Is it possible to enter candidates for a single paper or for three papers in an examination session?

It is only possible to enter candidates at each examination session for the options corresponding to the combinations of components given in the ‘Syllabus overview’ section under the sub-heading Structure for the AS &A Level 9709 syllabus here.

Candidates for AS Mathematics must be entered for two papers. Candidates for A Level Mathematics must be entered for four papers, of which two (either 1 + 4 or 1 + 5) may have been taken at an earlier session (within 13 months).
