Do we provide any training for exams officers?

We offer a range of support for exams officers, full details of which can be found on this page of our website.

We have an online training course ‘Getting to know the Cambridge Exams Cycle’, a self-managed course for exams officers administering our exams. The course is free to access for all Cambridge International Examination Officers. It is flexible, easy-to-use and ideal if you are new to working with us. It can also be used as a refresher by exams officers who have been working with us for some time. Features of the course include:

  • small, task-focused modules which explain a task or process in each phase of the Cambridge Exams Cycle
  • the ability to work through each module at your own pace
  • it can be accessed any time through our Professional Development Learning Community
  • quizzes and reflection tasks provide detailed feedback to check your understanding.

The course will give you a comprehensive introduction to administering our exams and direct you to additional support for each phase of the exams cycle.

We also run interactive webinars on making entries, preparing for results release and an introductory webinar specifically for new exams officers. We run approximately one webinar a month, and all our offerings are promoted in the Cambridge exams officers eNewsletter. They are free to access and are run at different times to make sure you can attend one live, regardless of your time zone. All timings advertised are UK time, so please convert them before you register for a webinar.

To access any of our training you need a computer with speakers or headphones. We recommend using Google Chrome for webinars, however any web browser will work. The training works on PC, Macs and mobile devices.

To sign up for the course, visit our Professional Development Learning Community. and create an account if you do not already have one. Search for ‘Getting to know the Cambridge Exams Cycle’ and enrol on the course using the code CeC2020. Webinar enrolment codes will be sent to you when you register to attend them.
