If a candidate requires extra time, they may be permitted to use extra time for the preparation time for the speaking test and/or for the speaking test itself. The extra time should be calculated as a per cent of the preparation time and/or speaking test (for example, 25%). Depending on the candidate's specific barrier to assessment, they may be permitted to use additional time for the preparation time only and not the speaking test.
For any candidates you think may need extra time in speaking tests, you must complete an Access Arrangements Cover Sheet (Exam Day – Form 4).
