Can students use string and a magnifying glass in Paper 2?

String can be used to measure distances on the map used in 0460 Paper 2 if this is the way this has been taught to candidates. Magnifying glasses are not permitted unless special consideration has been requested for a visually impaired candidate. Delete this sentence and replace with:

Magnifying glasses are not permitted in the examination.
