Can native German speakers be entered for the IGCSE German Foreign Language (0525/7159) syllabus?

The 0525 is designed for students studying German as a foreign language. There is another German syllabus more suitable for students whose first language is German, which is Syllabus 0505. Centres can decide which syllabus their candidates enter for but the 0525 syllabus qualification will only demonstrate competency in the German language up to level A2 (Basic User) with some elements of level B1 (Independent User) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
