(GENERAL) - Our school is currently transitioning to Cambridge IGCSEs and as part of the preparation, we would like to know what are the minimum requirements for the musical equipment and room setup needed to be able to deliver the syllabus?

For the 0410 IGCSE Music listening exam (component 1), centres should have equipment to play audio of reasonable quality, capable of reproducing the bass clearly. For components 2 and 3, recordings must be saved as MPEG Audio Layer 3 files (.mp3) and submitted on CD or USB. There are no minimum requirements for practice rooms, recording rooms or equipment. It is up to the teacher to decide what they feel they would like to use to deliver the course.
