What is basedata and where can I find it? (UK schools)

Basedata is the information that is used for entry systems. In order to submit entries via your MIS system (UK schools only) you will need to import the basedata into your entry system. A basedata file for each examination series can be downloaded from the Support Materials section of Cambridge International Direct by following these steps:

  • Click on Support Materials
  • Leave ‘Document Type’ as ‘All’ (default option)
  • Leave ‘Qualification’ without a selection (default option)
  • Enter the word basedata (one word without spaces in either lower or upper case) in the ‘search term’ box*
  • Click Submit.
