Cambridge Primary Checkpoint - what are the age groups, what subjects are offered and when is the transition between Cambridge Lower Secondary?

Cambridge Primary covers English, English as a Second Language, Maths and Science and is for 5 - 11 year olds. It offers a good introduction to Cambridge Lower Secondary as it follows the same setup, subject areas, curriculum framework and assessments. There are progression tests at the end of stages 3 to 6 providing formative assessment.  Cambridge Primary offers Primary Checkpoint tests which form the summative assessment at the end of stage 6 (or age 11).
