Set texts regularly rotate on the 9695 syllabus and may change from one year of examination to the next. Before you begin teaching, check the set text list for the year in which your candidates will take their examinations.
For Papers 1- 3, learners are required to study one text from Section A and one from Section B. This is also true for Paper 4, but there is an additional restriction in that one Paper 4 text must be poetry and one Paper 4 text must be prose.
The texts you select should be appropriate for the learners’ age, cultural background and learning context as well as complying with your school policies and local legal requirements.
