What are the regulations that govern the timetabling of Cambridge examinations?

Timetables are published by Cambridge for each examination series.

Unless there are specific local arrangements in place, you can start the examinations timetabled for morning or afternoon sessions at any time, provided you ensure that students are under Full Centre Supervision at the Key Time.

The Key Time for your school can be found on this page of our public website.

You must ensure that students sit our examinations during the correct session as indicated on the final timetable. Timetable clashes occur when, for various reasons, students are unable to take papers in the timetabled sessions.

If you have a clash on the timetable you should refer to the Handbook for guidance for a timetable change to overcome the clash. This is referred to as a Timetable Deviation.
